HOW DOES IFLYIBUYSG WORK?
First, sign up as a member (it’s free!). As a member, you will be able to view the contact details of fellow members. On your first login, please remember to go to the My Profile Page and update your contact details so it can be used for Desires and Trips postings!
For easy differentiation, members can be either a FLYER OR A BUYER.
FLYERS are travellers with spare luggage space who are willing to help obtain Desires by posting details of their travels on the Trips page.
FLYERS can browse the Desires for their country of travel, then approach BUYERS directly through the contact details to negotiate the purchase, payment and delivery of Desires.
BUYERS can post Desires for FLYERS to obtain the items.
BUYERS can also browse the Trips page to see which countries FLYERS are travelling to, then approach FLYERS directly through the contact details to negotiate the purchase, payment and delivery of Desires.

HOW DO I CONTACT FELLOW MEMBERS?
For faster responses, you can provide either email or phone (WhatsApp/Telegram) so other members can contact you directly. Please note that all such communications are private between members and are NOT recorded or monitored by IFLYIBUYSG. See Clause 26 of Terms & Conditions, click here

HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?
The IFLYIBUYSG service is FREE. This site works like a notice board/listing classifieds.
IFLYIBUYSG does NOT charge any fee on either a FLYER or BUYER on any transaction. All payments are discussed directly between FLYERS and BUYERS. IFLYIBUYSG does not provide a payment method and bears no responsibility for any monies exchanged as part of the discussion and transaction between FLYERS and BUYERS.

HOW CAN I READ MEMBER REVIEWS, OR PROVIDE REVIEWS AFTER OUR TRANSACTIONS?
You can search for feedback on Members under the REVIEWS page as well as provide reviews. There is also a Star Rating system under construction.

WHAT IF THERE IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN FLYERS AND BUYERS?
FLYERS and BUYERS should be as clear as possible in their communication to avoid any misunderstandings and ensure a smooth and mutually acceptable conclusion.
As IFLYIBUYSG is not a part of any discussion/payments beyond providing the posting/listing of the Desire, IFLYIBUYSG provides no liability or responsibility with respect to such interactions and is not responsible for any disputes arising from the transaction. HOW DOES IFLYIBUYSG MAKE MONEY?😅
Short answer… we don’t!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.
IFLYIBUYSG does NOT charge any fee on either FLYERS or BUYERS on any transaction. We also do not sell any data collected from this site.

HOW DO I BECOME A FLYER?
Just use the Post Trip page (under Trips tab) and enter your places of travel, return date and any additional trip details. These details will be combined with your contact details and will be available on the Trips page for BUYERS to reach you directly with their Desires.
(Unlike Desires, you will not be able to delete Trips. Just send an email to iflyibuysg@gmail.com and it will be amended within 3 working days.)
Alternatively, you can search for Desires posted by BUYERS in the Desires page through the Search function by Country or Category. You may contact the BUYER directly to discuss details.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A FLYER?
Decide if you can fulfil the Desire and the price you will offer. This should include the item purchase price (including exchange rates, local sales tax etc), SG Customs GST levy, delivery method and a personal service fee.
You can check your GST obligations through the Singapore Customs website.
Contact the BUYER directly and discuss the details above to reach a mutually acceptable offer. You should clarify the requirements of the item (preferred retailer, proof of purchase, delivery methods) to avoid any disagreements. You may request a Deposit to ensure payment if BUYER is agreeable.
After the item has been purchased and safely transported back, arrange for delivery via the agreed method.

HOW CAN I COLLECT PAYMENT?
You may discuss the details directly with BUYERS.

WHAT IF I CANNOT FIND THE ITEM? CAN I OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE? WHAT IF THE ITEM IS DAMAGED DURING MY TRIP?
Communicate directly with the BUYER to discuss alternative ways to fulfil the transaction.
In case of a cancelled transaction, you will need to return any monies paid to the BUYER.

DO I HAVE TO PAY LOCAL TAX OR GST ON ARRIVAL?
Applicable local tax should be included in your Offer.
You may be eligible for GST reliefs on arrival in Singapore. Check your eligibility here.

HOW CAN I DELIVER THE ITEM?
You should have discussed this with your BUYER and may arrange for self pick-up or use a third-party logistics partner.

WHAT IF THERE IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN FLYER AND BUYER?
Communicate directly to negotiate a mutually beneficial outcome to fulfil the transaction.
As IFLYIBUYSG is not a part of any discussion/payments beyond providing the posting of the Desire, IFLYIBUYSG is not responsible for any disputes arising from the transaction. See Clause 22-24 of Terms & Conditions, click here

HOW DO I BECOME A BUYER?
Just use the Post Desire form ( under Desire Tab) and enter the required details (country, item details, quantity & offer). These details will be made available on the Desires page together with your contact information for FLYERS to reach you directly to help you obtain your Desires.
Alternatively, you can peruse the Trips page and directly contact a FLYER whose Trips coincide with your Desires.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A BUYER?
Provide as much details as you can about the Desire- this will help FLYERS to decide if they can purchase the item. The offer price should include the item purchase price (such as exchange rates, local sales tax etc), delivery method, a personal service fee and SG Customs GST levy (https://www.customs.gov.sg/individuals/going-through-customs/arrivals/duty-free-concession-and-gst-relief)
The FLYER will contact you to discuss the details above to reach a mutually acceptable offer. You should clarify the requirements of the item (preferred retailer, proof of purchase, delivery methods etc) to avoid any disagreements. You may need to provide a deposit to the FLYER to ensure purchase.

HOW DO I DUPLICATE DESIRES BY BUYERS?
You can’t duplicate Desires at the moment. You have to create a new request.

WHO IS IFLYIBUYSG?
I travel a lot for work and after a long day, I like to go shopping and fill my luggage with things for friends… so I thought why not help everyone else do the same!
I hope you enjoy the IFLYIBUYSG site - it is very simple as it’s built by a small team completely with free tools and advice from kind-hearted experts (shout out to WIX and YouTube!)

WHY IS THE WEBSITE SO PLAIN/UGLY?
As this site is hosted by WIX.COM, there is limited bandwidth given, which is affected by design elements loading time, thus the simpler the design, the faster it loads… plus I’m just not a creative website designer☹..apologies!
There are also the occasional design glitches which I can’t seem to solve yet e.g. the individual Desire page design for larger laptop/tablet screens (seems to work fine on mobile devices).

I MADE A MISTAKE … HOW DO I AMEND/DELETE MY PROFILE/DESIRE/TRIP POSTING?
You can click on the red DELETE button on the individual Posting page. This action is only available to the original BUYER who posted it.
Otherwise, just send me an email via iflyibuysg@gmail.com and I will fix it within 3 working days.
Meanwhile, just do another posting instead of waiting for me.
